I read your profile. If you'd like to learn how to become a skilled artist, drawing and painting by hand, I recommend the book, "Drawing on the Right Side of Your Brain." You don't have to read it through, just practice a number of the exercises that it provides. Like riding a bike or any other skill, art is a learnable skill that just needs to be practiced a little using the right skill exercises. Once you learn them you just keep getting better at it with continued practice. The above book uses the neuropsychology involved in training your brain through the occipital lobe and perceptual areas of the brain, forming the right synaptic connections to develop artistic skill. The actual psychology discussed in the book is a little out of date, however, you don't really need the theory presented in the book, just the drawing exercises.
