Larry awakes to find his hometown has turned into an abandoned ghost town overnight. The only other person in town is the local deaf/mute who only communicates by rubbing his stomach and patting his head.
He stumbles around the city all day until exhaustion forces him to sleep.
When he awakes the next day, the entire area has been gentrified, and he is forced to move in with the deaf/mute to afford the rent.
