Above the high altar were three sets of stained-glass windows. The window on the left depicted the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary, in the center window above the high altar contained a depiction of the Nativity of Jesus, the window to the right depicted the Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth.
The sanctuary walls were covered with dark wood. Two rows of pews facing each other and allowed Father Anselm and the servers to sit during the Divine Worship and other services held the church. Along the walls of the nave of the church were stained glass windows, three on each side. Each of the windows depicted scenes from memorable stories in the Gospels. The seven clerestory windows depicted the seven archangels and the guardian angels.

To the rear of the church were the baptistry and confessional. Each of the two rooms had a stained-glass window, the baptism of Christ in the baptistry and Christ the Good Shepherd in the confessional. Sitting above the confessional and the baptistry was the choir loft. From it, the soft voices of the schola were practicing a few hymns and antiphons before the liturgy. They were supported by a small but resonant pipe organ. It's sound, like wind over the moon, filled the space with warmth and solemnity.
On each of the transepts were two chapels. The north transept contained the Martyr’s Chapel. Above the altar was an icon of what Sister Helena assumed were early English martyrs. The south transept contained what looked like a house.
Sister Helena turned to Simon. “What is in there?” She motioned towards the South transept.
