The traitor scratched his head in disbelief,
- How did a stranger enter without my key?
Despite the trick, his anger gave no relief,
- It's not enough to impress me.

The clamor of the crowd reached the stage,
- It's my time, the villain said with a grin.
- Ladies and gentlemen, let's begin this page.
Time for magic that will make your heart skip a beat.

A deadly trick I have prepared,
The traitor said with a wicked grin.
But then the saw came to life, leaving all scared,
And his head and arms fell with a spin.

The saw tore him apart, limb by limb,
As if guided by a specter's hand.
The trick felt surreal, made their senses dim,
Leaving the people bewildered, unable to understand.

The blackened ash spun round and round,
And from its center, the old magician came.
He doffed his top hat and bowed down,
- Taking him on as a student was my shame.

The apprentice knew the way to quell the fire,
But chose instead to watch his master die.
His evil heart consumed by dark desire,
Reducing all he learned to ash and lie.

The crowd rose in awe, their cheers resound,
The trick was grand, the greatest they had seen.
Applause erupted, echoes all around,
And in the shadows, the apprentice slinked unseen.

He "swapped the potions" with a twisted aim,
- His time had come, he was already old.
The apprentice spoke, his conscience lame,
- By his will, this theater's mine to hold.

The grand finale was a sight to behold,
But to the traitor, it was a work of art.
He powdered his face, his conscience sold,
Smiling to himself, greed is filling his heart! 

Surprise gripped him at the sight - 
A dirty face blackened by the soot.
Fury soon followed, a storm of might,
As he threw the mirror shattering it to refute.
