Augustine Spotlight: Amanda Benedict

One of the core six characters of the Augustine story.

The young sister of Micheal and Alex, and the final and youngest grandchild of Ezekiel Benedict. She has never seen the world beyond Augustine, and at some level resents the rest of the family for experiencing the thing she has not.

She is rebellious and a little snarky, especially towards her brothers and her grandfather. She does not idolize Jedidiah to the level that the rest of the village seems too. And she wears that fact on her sleeve.

Amanda deep down is regretting her decisions and feels like she is pushing her family away. She is immature but no doubt is resourceful and has a unique skill set.

She does not initially want to join the group but does half way into the story when they finally find Nigel. The old man is distraught and scared by supernatural forces that have been playing with his mind for months. And her help is key in calming him down, as Amanda has a unique way of connecting with and understanding others
