Grand Concourse / Coreward Park

The station's grand concourse and core-ward park are at the very top of the station's core. This particular one is from a very well established deep space waypoint station, and is roughly 1 kilometer from side to side, and over 5 stories tall, and features shops, restaurants, and hotels in addition to wide open park spaces suitable for picnics, games, etc... Unlike the promenade, which takes up the 5 decks directly below the core-ward park, and other areas of the station, the park and grand concourse are the only places you will find plants growing in natural soil. All other areas where plants are grown, they use soil substitutes and hydroponic techniques to minimize the sheer cost and weight of real soil. The grand concourse and park are touchstones for many spacers and station inhabitants to reconnect with nature while living in the sometimes sterile environment of space.
