WfR56: Clan Rules (Reversal)

Skorosh accepted the crystal-wave hail in his private commo alcove, unsurprised to hear Commander D'Iræ's voice. He'd expected the smug tone, but there was a tiredness behind it that seemed out of place.

"Allow me to extend Clan Rules, Captain Skorosh," she said with mixed hints of pride and weariness. "Third Group is less than an hour away - they'll want their pilots back from leave on Tapzin City."

"Gracious of you," he replied. "I HAD thought Tapzin hit above their standard."

"Your bribed pilots are in prison, or worse," the voice from the speaker intoned. "You can save that cash in the future. Maybe purchase supplies, instead of raiding them? Friendly suggestion. Now collect your garbage and go. You have three hours."

The set clicked off. Shorosh growled to himself, but it was more than fair. He'd only given 5th Group one hour after the Fuldin Gap battle.
