Happy new years Geezer!! He was born where the hills speak Welsh to the rain, Where drizzle drums softly on slate and lane. A boy of green valleys and secondhand skies, With big far-off dreams in curious eyes.

Success found him later, half ocean away, In wide-open cities where night turns to day. He crossed endless highways, chased sun through the years, Collected bright moments and weathered his fears.

Now life hums steady and rich with grace, A loving wife, bright kids finding their place— College-bound laughter, a home full of sound, Everything easy, cool, and profound.

Yet sometimes he pauses, just letting it fall, Missing wet pavements and London backstreets’ call, The rain on his collar, the hush after five, Where he learned how to wander, and started his life.

And though skies are bluer where he now stands, Wales still lives quietly there in his hands.
