A Negative of a Photocopy of Shattered Glass No. 9 (Yoko Ono Inspired Piece)

This piece is inspired by the poem "SHOOT 100 PANES OF GLASS" by Yoko Ono:

When a person hurts you badly

line up 100 panes of glass in

the field and shoot a bullet

through it.

Take a copy of a map made by

the cracks on each glass and

send a map a day for 100 days

to the person who has hurt you

this poem is from Yoko's book "Grapefruit" which became famous as an early example of conceptual art, containing a series of "event scores" that replace the physical work of art with instructions that an individual may, or may not, wish to enact.

This is my response in poetry in. I have no bullet, but instead, there will be 100 generations. This is generation no 9.

To the person who has hurt me:

In the beginning

there were more than 100 days

on which I would have sent you a map

but now I only remember you blankly

as the rupture pulse has long since occurred

and the cloying anger has given way to

the outline of nostalgia
