And, at last, to refresh their ears came the sound they had all been waiting for: up there, beyond the impenetrable curtain of condensation, the roar of rain filled the gray sky.

"It's abundant!" someone shouted. "It's copious!" squealed a second. "It's a real downpour!" rejoiced a third -- and then the words were lost, for everyone hugged each other dancing as, transfixed, they ran up the winding stairs until they reached the top of the Rock.

And there, after a seemingly endless and trepidatious wait, fresh water finally poured down from the top of the mountain, cascading over the Village in marvelous waterfalls that seemed to spout from all over the place.
