Brokk (along with his brother Eitri) was one of the dwarves in Norse Mythology responsible for crafting Thor's hammer Mjolnir, Freyr's golden battle boar Gullinbursti, and Draupnir the ring of infinite wealth. They succeeded, despite Loki's attempts to thwart them.
Dwarves in Norse Mythology evolved from maggots that were feasting on the flesh of the dead Ymir. Therefore I view them as not being especially attractive to the eye, yet the things they are able to craft are beautiful indeed.
