"The Apache: Nantan"

He was Nantan, a leader among his people, a man who had seen the world change with the arrival of the enemy, yet refused to break beneath its weight.

Born to the Chiricahua Apache, he had fought alongside his brothers against the encroaching armies of the north and south, slipping like shadows through the canyons, striking swift as the lightning of the summer storms. He had learned the ways of war from the great leaders—Cochise, Juh, and later, Geronimo, whose name struck fear into the hearts of invaders.

But now, he stood alone, listening to the whispers of the land, the echoes of those who had come before. The time of great battles was ending, but his fight was not over. As long as the rivers ran, as long as the eagles soared, as long as there was breath in his lungs, he would watch over his people. He was the last guardian of a world fading into memory, a sentinel of the Apache way.
