Tutorial: Gobo Lights

This is another technique very common in stage lighting. When I was in a theatre lighting class, I made my own gobos by slitting open a soda can and cutting a shape into it. At it's most basic, this stencil goes in front of the light so the light is patterned when it shines. Holiday projectors use the same idea.
