An excellent observation. I just saw on YT last night a musician decrying the fact that AI had just "announced" AI had a hit on Spotify....though when he looked into it, the "hit" had been paid for in one lump sum by some idiot trying to make a "hit" where none really existed. False identity doing the very same thing as you describe above, but with the end user getting even less value......with no laws, con men rule.
