"The Red Dove Over the River"

Evening settled in golden hues, lanterns flickering against the twilight. Zhao Jingwei and Zhao Lianxia stood on a quiet stone platform, overlooking the water where lotus blossoms drifted in slow, lazy currents. Across the river, a pavilion stood bathed in lantern light, its wooden beams casting long shadows over the mist-kissed shoreline.

From the air, a red dove descended, its deep crimson plumage glowing faintly in the fading sun. It landed lightly upon a carved stone marker, wings folding in quiet elegance.

"Not many red ones," Lianxia murmured, fingers brushing the jade at her wrist.

The bird lingered, watching them with an unwavering presence, its gaze like a whispered message. Then, with a soft rustling of feathers, it lifted into the sky, vanishing beyond the river’s edge.

Jingwei exhaled. "A good omen?" Lianxia smiled. "Perhaps."
