She had been wandering the halls and corridors for quite some time and was nearly ready to give up her search when suddenly the book she had been carrying around the whole time rustled slightly, as if some unknown hand had been flipping through the pages to find where she had left off.
Instinctively, Ashildr reached for the book, unfastened it from her belt and opened it, quickly searching for the page on which she had last seen Clara's handwriting.

Alright, she thought. She felt uncomfortable with this kind of technology. Not necessarily because she did not fully understand what was going on - she still had trouble getting used to this time travel thing and this was complicated enough as it was. No, this thing in her hands felt so... odd. It was off, not really extraordinary, but just special enough to not quite fit in.
She felt as if someone invisible was trying to grab the book, scribble something inside, and give it back.
