As Colonel Larkin pondenered his decision on who to pick as his fourth teammate, Sister Helena made her way through the monastery from the refectory to the recreation room. She entered the room and took her place in a chair next to Sister Marie Evangeline. Mother Superior entered the room, and everyone stood.
“Praised be Jesus Christ,” said Mother Superior.
“Now and forever. Amen,” responded the nuns. Mother Superior gave a smile and that signaled that the nuns could talk freely for one hour.
“Would you like to see what my mother's iconography classes is doing?” Sister Rebecca Agnes of the Most Precious Blood asked Sister Helena and Sister Marie Evangeline. They nodded and Sister Rebecca Agnes produced a set of photographs of the icons. The two nuns oohed and awed the photos.

The story is building, slow and steady. Like your pacing and the two side-by-side images.
Maybe a little 'Fix faces' could have improved the beautiful woman's face, which is not as good as the sister's
Another great installment. And it looks like perhaps a villain enters the picture?
From what she had seen in an Rogue NID briefing about the enemies of Earth, there were two groups whose eyes flashed like that: The Goa’uld and the Tok’ra. But didn't the Tok’ra shut their eyes when they made the transition from host to symbiote and vice versa? She had to know further.
“Of course,” the woman said. “I will teach you all you need to know. Together we will uncover the secrets of the universe.” The crowd, a group of young people, oohed and awed at the prospect of being shown the secrets of the universe.
The teenage girl smiled. “Thank you, most beautiful Lady. We need your help to guide our people as we've been lost without guidance for so long. We want to learn more, to grow. We want to better ourselves.”
She found herself once again in the medieval village. The village this time seemed different. She found the villagers gathered near the pedestal around a beautiful woman. She was very petite with dark brown shoulder length hair with bangs and dark brown eyes. She reminded Sister Helena of Karen Carpenter. The woman wore a gorgeous blue dress with gold embroidery. Her arms were outstretched, and she was teaching the people about something.
“My children, I'm here to guide you and protect you,” the woman said in a gentle and reassuring voice that was melodious.
“Will you teach us how to become close to God? Will you teach us the secrets and mysteries of the heavens?” Asked a teenage girl who wore a simple dress. The beautiful woman's eyes flashed white and gold briefly as she nodded. Though this action was oblivious to the abilities, Sister Helena had a keen eye and spotted it.
“Your mother is very talented and inspiring,” said Sister Helena.
“Thank you,” replied Sister Rebecca Agnes. “Sister Helena, have you ever told us about your mother?”
“My mother died when I was small and I don't remember her much,” Sister Helena said. “Oh! I’m sorry to hear that.”
“That's alright. My grandmother was the mother figure in my life. She...” It was then that she froze and a flash of light enveloped her. “Another vision?” She thought. “In front of the entire community?” There was not much she could do but hope that Sister Marie Evangeline would cover for her.

Totally hooked brother. I love the details and the images are fabulous. Karen could use a little work, but she's still great!
