Then Father Anselm turned to the congregation and said, “Drawn near with faith and make your humble confession to almighty God, meekly kneeling upon your knees.” Father knelt on the steps leading to the altar. The congregation followed suit.
They all prayed: “O most high God, Father of our Lord Jesu Christ, maker of heaven and earth, judge of All Souls both quick and dead:
“With humble hearts we do confess before the are many sins and failings, in thought, word, indeed (here they beat their chests three times) against thy host holy and righteous will.
“We have not loved thee as we ought, nor our neighbor as ourselves. We have walked in fear, and turned aside from my mercy.
“Yet now we repent from all our misdoings. The memory of them is heavy upon us. Have mercy on us, most gentle Father.

Perfectly described (I think, not that familiar with this ceremony) and the illustration is near perfect (just a minor edit on Helena's hands to address some not that obvious finger issues)

The liturgy continued with Helena would have called the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Sister Helena was an amazement that the liturgy of Eversham had evolved into the old Anglican Usage of the Roman Rite. What was more astounding was it evolved on its own. Back on Earth the Anglican Usage was adapted from the Anglican and Episcopalian Book of Common Prayer for Anglicans wanting to be reunited to Holy Mother Church.
“They never had Aquinas, the Reformation, the Council of Trent, or Vatican II and yet they had a pure simple faith,” Helena thought.
