Dream?

Combined from a dream I had the other night and a prompt by Vincent.

I woke up, eagerly rushing to my computer to type up notes for a story based on my dream, but the details had grown too hazy to write down in full.

It involved a hardboiled police detective and a cowardly PI joining forces to save an heiress from the mob, and would have been a noir-inspired sci-fi thriller with adventure elements reminiscent of the works of Don Bluth and Walt Disney's renaissance-era animation. And just to make the whole thing extra-special... they were a pair of human-sized anthropomorphic rats.
