Nia Apocalypse: 103 days after the end

Day 103.

The heat’s still brutal during the day, but the nights aren’t as cold. I’ve stopped feeling much about it—just another part of surviving. I trust my rifle more than anything else. My knife’s close, but the rifle keeps the fear at bay. If someone’s coming for me, they’ll have to get through that first.

I don’t wait for explanations anymore. One wrong move, a glance that lasts too long, and it’s over. People are dangerous now—too desperate to trust. So I don’t.

My base is secure. A basement under a collapsed building. Two exits—one obvious, one secret. If anyone finds it, I’ll disappear before they even know what hit them.

I spent most of today watching the streets. Scavengers have become bolder, but they don’t know what it’s like to live in a world where hesitation gets you killed. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way.

I found some canned food today. It’s not much, but it’ll do.

Tomorrow, I’ll be ready. Always ready.
