Wow! I was listening to "Under a Darker Spell" while taking in this creation and reading what you wrote. I admire your artistry and your voice, but I can't agree with you here. There is much in this world to be thankful for, and there are many people who step outside of their own bubbles to make the effort to improve our world.

Yes I was a bit in a dark mindset when I wrote up that rant. I better remove it and keep a copy in the Vault of Darkness instead. "Under a Darker Spell" really is about young adult romance anxiety, straight from the core of my gothic days 😸 (original version '95/'96 I think)

Sorry to hear that, about the dark mindset, and I wish you much happiness  in the new year - may it be a prolific one for you! I don't think you should remove what you wrote because that's how you were feeling. Just remember: "There's still lots of good left in the world." I'm quoting from The Outsiders, my favorite novel to teach middle schoolers. "Stay gold," my friend (another quote from The Outsiders).

Sometimes I get a bit broody. It happens. While on the bigger scale in the human world may have many grim and disconcerting elements, on a small scale between individuals it is so simple to share the sparks of light and beauty - and we should not hold back in enlarging that, lifting it up to higher levels.
