Thanarevenant

The Thanarevenant is the perfected expression of SCP-022-like reanimation energy, a conductor of death’s threshold. It does not kill recklessly; instead it “evaluates” creatures, determining whether they are meant to remain alive. To some it is strangely gentle, performing spectral examinations through touch, while to others it becomes ruthlessly surgical, carving away the spark of life with clinical detachment. It commands lower evolutions through eerie mental pulses and can manipulate morgue-spaces, twisting rooms into labyrinths of tiled corridors and cold metal drawers. When slain, it collapses into a swirl of hospital sheets and black mist that dissipates with the faint sound of a closing freezer door.
