Ashen Sun, Son of the Storm

Court mage of the city of Myriad, Vyreth’s first husband and beloved, Ashen was, until recently, something quite different: he belonged to the Shadowlock and traded both objects and creatures alike. He never expected to end up bound by a Binding Promise to Vyreth, a Monarch of the fairies. He didn’t foresee that this promise would change him.

Milla, his first magical apprentice—whom he now calls his daughter in his heart—has become his purpose in life, far beyond the promise itself. Ashen feels a deep gratitude toward Vyreth, as well as a love he never imagined he could experience.
