One way to look at Heinrich's powers might be to consider him to be a more "realistic" fusion of 2 MARVEL COMICS(TM) characters: Captain America(TM) and Wolverine(TM).
Heinrich is one of the first characters that I considered including in my present superhero project. As a concept, I envisioned a biochemically and genetically enhanced super-soldier with a titanium alloy, surgically reenforced skeleton: a "turbocharged, passive cyborg."
Whether he came from another dimension / timeline, or his past is a complete fiction, he's a big guy with a big heart. (It's his wife you got to watch out for: YIKES!!!)
