Ring Around the Rosie

This nursery rhyme comes from the era of the black plague. The ring refers to the ring around the infection and the pocket full of posies refers to the scented handkerchiefs to abate the smell of the dead. The "a tissue we all fall down" refers to the fact that if you showed symptoms in the morning, you most likely would not be living that evening. Yes, it's dark, but it's true.
