La tulipe noire (The Black Tulip)

In 1789, the Revolution was brewing and unrest spread across the province. This is how in Roussillon nobles are regularly robbed by an elusive masked vigilante who, with the help of his horse "Voltaire" and an accomplice, signs his crimes under the name of "La Tulipe Noire". It is in fact Guillaume de Saint Preux, a young aristocrat very prominent within the local aristocracy and darling of the fairer sex.

Suspected by Baron "La Mouche", Lieutenant-General of the local police, a boastful and ridiculous character, "La Tulipe noire" is marked with a scar on the cheek by him during an ambush. The Fly thus believes he has unmasked him and intends to arrest him as soon as he reappears. But Guillaume asks his younger brother Julien, who is his true double, to play his role in good society....
