Most of you who visit this little gallery are aware that back down the road a ways I made a living creating images on that stuff we used to know as film.
Now and again I find myself wandering back in time as I stir up pixels into seeming photographs with these wondrous AI tools.

Duotones - oh they are a joy! This one has such crispness it looks like it’s been printed using metallic inks! The balance if light and shade is spot on I think! And yes the detail is exquisite! I remember working with printers over the years to fine tune the offset printing process to produce the best duotones (or tritones or quadratones - depending on the budget). It offers an additional layer to photographic duotones that the offset craftsmen get to play with in their realm. I found it fascinating to witness how to offset the screens and precisely which colours to use, and the tricks of adding a metallic ink underneath to enhance the ethereal quality! So much fun.
