I tried to create our galaxy's black hole: Sagittarius A*. The 1st image didn't come out well 😅 but the other 3 came out really well! Located at the center of the Milky Way, Sagittarius A* has about 4 million times the mass of the sun, making it a supermassive black hole. Sagittarius A has an accretion disk but is currently inactive which makes it more "calm" compared to other supermassive black holes. It was captured in 2022 by EHT. As the name suggests, Sagittarius A* is in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius emitting radiation (hence the * in the name)
A digital rendering of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. This image captures the intense gravity and swirling matter around the black hole.
