I should expound on the nanosensors I mentioned in the last photo. In the future they're embedded throughout our bedsheets, pillows, clothes, shoes, upholstery, lipstick β anything we regularly come into physical contact with. They're even in the air we breathe. They self-generate, so it's not too cumbersome a task.
The ones in our beds allow the sheets to self-clean and monitor our bodily functions. This output is fed into the cybernetic implants in our brains, ensuring our sleep is as restful and productive as possible. They also function as a primitive dream regulator, although standalone dreamatons are technologically some 50 years ahead of what nanosensors can do for now.
The nanosensors are most useful, however, when we invite guests into our bedrooms. Unfortunately these benefits can't be explicated here. Suffice to say, early 21st-century society is unable to conceive of them in the first place, as if you tried to explain to a caveman why we need iPhones.
