I practiced the art commonly known as tai-chi-chuan for 4 years. Actually the translitteration in pinyin is TAI JI QUAN: "tai" means "supreme"; "ji" means "ultimate polarity" and refers to Yin and Yang; "quan" means "fist" and refers to martial art. So if you put all together, Tai Ji Quan is the Martial art of Supreme Polarity, the art of balancing Yin and Yang... which is Life! ☯️  One of the first thing I learned was that energy literally flows where our focus goes! It was a great way to practice embodying this famous principle and to become even more mindful about my thoughts, emotions and my whole inner world
