For years after the incident Aridian wondered around from place to place, working as a bounty hunter. One day while staying in the Northern Kingdom, a letter arrived by the inn he was staying at. When he returned later that day, he was given the letter that had been left by two men who were desperately looking for him.

The letter was from his two cousins. It explained that a terribly storm had hit the island where they lived and both their parents had been buried under a landslide. They were all alone. Now they had the lone responsibility of looking after their little sister who was only four years old. They needed help.

Over the years Aridian had tried to disappear. This was the first time that Aridian had heard of a sister, another cousin. He packed his things and left as soon as he could. He would protect her, he would love her, and maybe she could save him, from himself.
