According to Greek Myth: There was a prophecy that Princess Danaë's son would grow up to kill her father, King Acrisius of Argos. To prevent this from coming true, Acrisius had her confined so that no man could ever get close to her. The god Zeus found a way to sneak in through a skylight or something in the form of a shower of gold. This somehow got her pregnant. She subsequently gave birth to the hero Perseus (and I'm sure you can guess what eventually happened to Acrisius).
