“We've got an incoming wormhole,” said Fairbairn. She looked at the tablet for an IDC. Receiving Construction Battalion 3’s IDC.”
“Lower the shield,” said Larkin. Fairbairn did so and a voice emanated from Larkin’s comms.
“Sierra Golf Two-Four, this is Charlie Bravo Three actual. Come in please.” The voice was part Scottish and part Australian.
“Charie Bravo Three actual this is Sierra Golf Two-Four actual. We read you. Welcome to Eversham.”
“Thank you, Sir. We're coming in with ATV's and several FREDs,” the voice said.
“Acknowledged. Cut your engine 3 Klicks out from the village. We don't want to spook them,” said Larkin.
“Understood,” the voice said. “We'll come on foot then. We'll contact you when we get to 3 Klicks out.”
“Sounds good. We'll wait for your signal. Sierra Golf Two-Four out.”

Well introduced. Any particular reason in chosing those real people for these characters?
The Seabees arrived at the monastery an hour later and SG-24 stood outside to meet them.
Their leader was Lieutenant Commander Gordon McClendon of the Royal Australian Navy, who was tall and sparse, straight as a yard arm. The silver at his temples caught the fading light and his sharp gaze swept the courtyard like a man already calculating defenses pull up abilities. There was nothing hurried about him, but nothing wasted either dash he radiated efficiency.
Just to his right walked Kapitänleutnant Georg Eule of the German Navy, helmet clipped to his belt, dark hair slicked back under the weight of the march. There was a European sharpness to him, all clean angles and immaculate gear placement, as if he stepped out of a training manual. When his lips curled into a faint grin, it was with the knowledge of with the knowing ease of someone who had seen worse and lived to tell the tale.
