Containment Procedures:

SCP-LEAF-003 is to be stored in a 5m x 5m containment chamber, walls lined with leaf-absorbing materials to prevent self-regeneration.

Cameras used to monitor SCP-LEAF-003 must be equipped with infrared filters, as the entity reacts violently to direct visual contact.

Testing or interaction with SCP-LEAF-003 requires approval from senior staff, and personnel must maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters from the entity at all times.

SCP-LEAF-003 is typically passive but will become hostile under specific circumstances, such as being observed for prolonged periods. When threatened or studied too closely, the entity will release a cloud of fine, sharp leaf fragments capable of penetrating skin, causing intense irritation and, in some cases, temporary blindness. Victims also report an overwhelming sense of dread, as though being stalked by an unseen force.

Despite extensive study, no internal structure or biological systems have been identified within SCP-LEAF-003. Attempts to destroy or dismantle it have been unsuccessful, as it simply reconstitutes itself from nearby leaf matter over time.
