'Firecat' Swish Wyral II, Meklarn OP (3653)

Wyral started the season on a tear for his former glory, with three straight wins to open, but by the fifth race Ronwell's Bloop Ronul was never more than a car-length away from start to finish. Off-track, the two were incurable friends, despite on and even off-world press desperately trying to make a bitter rivalry tale.

On track it wasn't bitter, but there was certainly a rivalry. By the end of the season, neither thought their business on track was finished. "Now we're even. It's fine, there's more to go," Firecat told interviewers after the season's championship podium.
