She was invited out on the for the fall festival and couldn't wait. The lake was calm, and they were anchored close to shore to wait for the fireworks that evening. The group chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company while they waited for dusk. She finally couldn't resist and had to ask about the lake."Is it still warm?" she asked as she stood on the swim deck at the back of the boat. "It's usually warm till November," was the response. Then they added, "You can still swim if you're brave enough. We have towels and probably a t-shirt and shorts, or just go in your clothes!" That was what she wanted to hear! She turned and jumped off the swim deck into the lake, still wearing everything, even her boots. As she floated just below the surface, she realized her sweater might be an issue, and she would have to be careful not to "fall out" as she climbed out. But that was a future problem. For now, she was enjoying her swim in the cool water.
