Originally, this was just a photograph of something real which I swirled, twirled, and had fun cloning, smudging, etc. with in Adobe PhotoDeluxe before PhotoShop. I did quite of few of these, then painted them about a dozen of the best of them as oil on canvas. This one was a bit too creepy for 2000. Now, no so much.

Created in Adobe PhotoDeluxe before PhotoShop. I began with an photo: swirled it, turned it inside out. Something like an eye showed itself, so I embellished from there.
