if you're asking if the brackets are necessary when using the caption trigger to train your lora, then from my understanding, they're not essential no, so as and when you create your own lora, you can choose to use them or not. I just started out using the brackets with my first loras and just carried on using them. it makes the trigger stand out. If you're asking about placement within the text prompt itself of the caption trigger, i haven't really noticed much difference myself. I generally tend to put it first after my lora name. Hope that helps!
