A powerful undead creature with the ability to fly created by Necromancers binding many shadows to the form of a freshly killed giant raptor. The shadows empower the newly created undead to move and to hunt for the prey the Necromancers seek with the all to skilled vision of the raptor they inhabit. 

Unlike the lesser birds, the feathers of these creatures do not easily dislodge and their predatory adaptations make them a threat long after they lose their ability to fly.
