In Norse Mythology, the Fimbulwinter is a bleak omen of Ragnarök, a sign that the world soon shall end. A fell Winter shall descend upon the worlds, the length of three with no Summer in between, burying all things in cruel snow and deep ice. Nothing shall grow, and the loss of food and order shall cause great battle among men. Many will perish ere the Great Battle from which there will be no return.
