Anni Albers (1899–1994) was a pioneering textile artist, designer, and printmaker associated with the Bauhaus movement. She redefined weaving as a modernist art form, elevating textiles from craft to fine art. Her work combined geometric abstraction, meticulous craftsmanship, and innovative material exploration. After fleeing Germany, she continued her career in the United States, where she became a key figure in modern textile design, teaching at Black Mountain College and influencing generations of artists and designers.
