I love the drawing. I hated the ending of "Planet of the Apes" with an "Aperaham Lincoln" statue with an ape. Your drawing has nuance where he's almost human which I love.
Made me think of my ancestral cousin, Judge Charles Edward Bull. In John Ford's 1924 black & white silent movie, "The Iron Horse," Judge Bull portrayed President Abraham Lincoln. He also portrayed Lincoln in Lloyd Bacon's B&W silent movie "The Heart of Maryland." "The Iron Horse" can be viewed on YouTube.
Awesome, and not all that unlike some of the newspaper cartoons of his day.
