The song seemed to quell the riot, and many joined in. This allowed the Militia to move in and find the culprits and detain them.


Helena looked out towards crowd. And standing in the shadows was Matilda.

Only a cold assessing stare. Then she disappeared into an alleyway.

Simon leaned over to Colonel Larkin. “I think we should call it a night.”

“Agreed,” said Larkin.

“Shall I visit you at the Monastery to discuss things?”

“That will be agreeable,” Larkin said. “How about in thirty minutes? It will give us time to put the tractor away.”


“Helena, hold short. Defensive positions. Let's see if anyone defuses the situation,” said Larkin. Helena dutifully nodded. 

Mary, who had been in the crowd, sensed the growing throng getting madder.

A punch was thrown. Then another then another, soon part of the village was fighting another part. Few were left neutral.

“Stop this at once!” Alister cried. But his cry was to no avail. The villagers continued their fighting.
“If you do not disperse immediately, we shall use force!” Godric announced. But that did not calm the crowd.

Larkin began to weigh his options. What could he do? While he wanted Helena to use the Goa’uld weapons platform to Zat everyone, he knew Helena's health would be in jeopardy. Plus, he would have to get Simon's permission. He thought about tear gas cartridges, but then everyone would have to Zatted.
