The Butler

Once servants of long-dead nobles, Butlers now serve the House Eternal—an unseen domain of endless corridors and flickering light. They enforce quiet and obedience among the dead, and punish the living who disturb the stillness. A Butler's bow is deep and slow before it lunges, its words muffled through torn lips: “The Master is resting…” They can momentarily phase through walls to “fetch” wayward guests, and are capable of summoning spectral maids—echoes of those they once served beside.
