𐤂 gaml is the word for camel depicting a camel hump. The original name gīml (a throwing stick derived from an Egyptian logogram) has later possibly been changed to gaml. It refers to the voiced velar stop [ɡ]. The letter evolved into Hebrew ג, Syriac ܓ and Arabic ﺝ. The Fidäl form is ገ, the Greek and Cyrillic Γ. The rounded Latin characters C and G stand for the unvoiced and voiced stops. In Brāhmī 𑀕 the hump is clearly recognizable, the Devanāgarī form is ग.
