Shammar makes his way aboard the creaky old ship. The desert had preserved it very well. He first examines the top deck, finding little of interest. besides a few signs of attack.
He made his way towards the captains cabin, finding a long, weathered skeleton at a desk a few clues as to what happened. The captain's log was destroyed, The skeleton had been shackled to the desk. But nothing to point further, Shammar imagined that the captain had been tortured, and evidence suggested that he'd died long after the crew with the shackles being made from different metals than the rest of the ship.

Shammar held out his hand, and the snake tattoo that lined his arm started to move the snakes head moving to the back of his hand and it's head removed itself making a hissing noise as it stuck it's tongue out tasting the air. Shammar was led into the lower decks following where the snake head pointed, finding lots more dead crew. The snake led him to a specific pillar on the ship it had a very distinctive cut in it. The dark magic pulsed from the cut. Shammar summoned his shadow blade to his hand he had to change the height and angle of how he stood, but the cut was definitely made from a blade identical to his. "Definitely the work of the cult." Shammar thought aloud.

He pushes open the door next to the pillar, finding a room even grander than the captain's cabin there was a library worth of books in this room all damaged, Shammar once again thought of his friend William who would love it here even with the books being damaged he'd be able to tell Shammar so much about what the books meant. Shammar made his way through the room, noting the crown beside the skeleton that had once called this room home. Clearly not here for your wealth... what were they after? Shammar touches the desk in this room and feels a surge of magical energy. Ah, that explains things. Shammar sits down cross-legged on the floor. Feeling the magic lock on the desk. A lock specifically made to keep out dark magic, smart. luckily, I shouldn't have too much trouble. The magic lock begins to twist and spiral clicking as it begins to unlock.

Shammar walked towards where he felt the disturbance in the sand, soon seeing a piece of wood jutting up from the sand, Shammar feels the full size and shape of the object, he carefully marks out the edges of the object with magic runes taking him the part of an hour.

Shammar reads the worn name plate on the bow of the ship, "The Skywarden." He ponders the name for a moment but is unable to think whether he'd heard the name before.
