Husk

Lore & Behavior: Husks act as the defenders of the Nutborn clusters. When threatened, they instinctively plant themselves into the soil, anchoring with their roots to form a living barricade. Though slow, they can deliver surprisingly powerful body-checks, knocking aside attackers with sheer weight. They are communal creatures, often taking turns standing guard while others rest. Folk tales tell of Husks forming protective walls around sleeping children lost in the woods, holding watch until dawn.
