His name was Tȟašína Lúta—Red Blanket—a warrior of the Oglala Lakota, son of a chief and grandson of a seer. Once, these plains echoed with the thundering hooves of buffalo, the chants of council fires, and the laughter of children running freely beneath the sun. Now, silence crept in with every passing year.

The stripes painted across his face were not for battle—they were for memory, lineage, and loss. They told the story of a people who once danced under stars unclouded by fences and rails, who spoke to the land as kin. Red Blanket had seen both the old world and the new.
