Another example of what I call "Teddy Bear Film Noir." The narrator (not seen onstage in this one) is a tough-talking private detective who, when he confronted the wealthy socialite with his suspicions, didn't seriously believe she'd have a gun handy. He assumed she hired people to handle any rough stuff that was part of her secret agenda. But it appears she's more of a do-it-yourself type of gal.
