Aatush is a remarkable woman, fierce, determined, she scrunches up her nose when she does not want to laugh.

She is radiant, but haunted. Her sleep is troubled. For hundreds of years she roamed the blightlands under the curse of Belzaor, it will take time to heal.

I have offered my summer villa to her and she accepted reluctantly, on the proviso that I stay and help her become acquainted with the property and its caretakers. The tenants have taken to her quickly and she is delighting in the summer harvest of strawberries. They match her beautiful hair.

Every morning and afternoon we spar. She has been trained in the old techniques, solid and lethal, but I am teaching her the way of Kifune, the water dance, as I trained Listratha.

It is not like training Lis, however.. I find myself drawn to her.. and she to me. There is no denying the blossoming of love. When the first winter snows begin to fall, I will ask her to marry me.
